Jimmy Henderson

Jimmy Henderson
March 12, 1943 - February 18, 2014
Macon, GA- James "Jimmy" Walter Henderson loved people. Jim was born in Jefferson County, Alabama and passed away in Macon. Even though Jim had health issues from birth, he lived a valuable, generous and rewarding life. In 1963, Jimmy served in the US Army at Ft. Gordon. For many years he cared for his parents, with so much love, through critical and debilitating illnesses. Jimmy helped his mother, Mary Ella Moore Henderson, to care for his father, AP Hill Henderson, who was homebound with emphysema for over 10 years. Later, for 8 years, Jimmy
helped his sister take care of their Mother here in Macon.
Jimmy loved everyone, forgave everyone, and was so very, very kind. He was loved by his neighbors at St. Paul's Apartments, where he had many friends. All of his friends, including his bowling friends, will miss him greatly. God blessed him and his family by allowing Jimmy to keep his lively mind and friendly personality until his passing. Jimmy Henderson taught those who knew him the meaning of love, joy and forgiveness. He was a sweet man.
Jimmy was predeceased by his brothers: Ralph Stephen and Allison Patrick Henderson. He is survived by his fiancée, Delores Sharp, and his sister, Evelyn Henderson Shimek (Tom), both of Macon. He is also survived by his loving Alabama family: Uncle Otha B Moore (Helen), Aunt Bernice Moore and Aunt Norma Moore along with a huge number of cousins, nieces, and nephews who will always miss him.
