Warner Robins, GA- Ms. Shirley Ann H. Coleman, 78, of Warner Robins passed away Tuesday, March 18th due to complications related to her two year battle with cancer. Shirley was a loving mother and grandmother, and caring friend who always thought of others first and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She enjoyed reading and sewing; creating quilts for many family members, and making baby gowns, buntings and blankets to be given to pre-mature babies born at the local hospital. Shirley was a faithful member of the First Church of the Nazarene where she served in the nursery for forty plus years. She loved her 'adopted' grandchildren and many of them call her grandma Shirley. She was born to the late Mr. William Walter and Georgia Elizabeth (Youngblood) Hill in Barney, GA. Shirley grew up in Quitman, GA where she graduated from Brooks County High School. She retired from Robins Air Force Base after thirty two years of service as an Electronics mechanic. Shirley was preceded in death by brothers, William Hardy Hill and Walter Richard Hill, and granddaughter Echo Michelle Lower. Shirley leaves behind her siblings: Fannie Lee Hill, Ronald Louis Hill, Brenda Latrell Monk, and Robert Darrell Hill; her children: daughters Janet (Ronnie) Foskey, Rhonda (George) Tuttle, Karen Harrison (Donald Ivey), and son Kerry (Jennifer) Coleman; thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Friday, March 21st from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home, Warner Robins. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 22nd at 2:00 PM at the Warner Robins First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. David Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, Macon, GA. The family will accept flowers or memorials can be made to the building fund of the First Church of the Nazarene, 300 Lois Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31093.
