, 886 Mulberry Street, Macon, Georgia 31201, in honor of Neal's parents who have both battled the disease.
A lifetime resident of Houston County, Neal was born in Perry and was a 1976 Graduate of The Westfield School. He received a Bachelor of Business Degree from Georgia College. He worked many long hours with his father at Walker-Thompson Supply until Mr. Thompson closed the business. Neal worked for the Georgia Department of Agriculture as a Field Inspector, a Fuel Inspector, and most recently as an Inspector at the Farmer's Market in Macon. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Through the years, Neal enjoyed having a vegetable garden and spent lots of time fishing. An avid University of Georgia
bulldawg fan, he is sure to be cheering them on from the sidelines in heaven. Neal's greatest treasure in life was his family, especially his "girls", who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his father, Ed Thompson.
Left to cherish the memories of Neal are his beloved wife of nearly 25 years, Teresa "Terri" Stanton Thompson of Perry; his daughter, Hillary Paige Thompson of Perry; his mother, Sandra Thames Thompson of Perry; his brothers, Dale Thompson (Lydia) of Perry and Tim Thompson (Lori) of Pelham, Alabama; his nephews and nieces, Ashley Gurley (Josh), Laura Stimus (Todd, Jr.), Andrew Thompson, and Heather Thompson; one great-nephew, Johnathan; and his parents-in-law, Hillory and Hazel Stanton of Macon.
