Anne Lane Tribble
Fort Valley, GA- Anne Lane Tribble, 60, devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and loving wife, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 22, 2012, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, August 25, 2012, at First Baptist Church, 209 South Miller Street in Fort Valley, with Rev. Daniel Stubbs and Rev. William C. Tribble officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 6:00PM to 8:00:PM on Friday, August 24, 2012, at First Baptist Church of Fort Valley. Family may be contacted at the home of Duke Lane Jr., 305 Magnolia Street in Fort Valley. Mrs. Tribble graduated from Fort Valley High School where she was a cheerleader and homecoming queen, then attended the University of Georgia and was a member of Chi Omega sorority. She was part owner and an employee of Lane Southern Orchards and member of First Baptist Church of Fort Valley. Her distinctive Southern accent is recognized by many in middle Georgia as the advertising voice of Lane Southern Orchards. An avid fisherman and golfer, she loved life, enjoyed her grandchildren, and "never met a stranger." Survivors include her husband of seventeen years, Bill Tribble; children, Phillip Rigdon, Jr. (Amber) of Byron, Todd Rigdon (Kristi) of Warner Robins, Pam Johnson of Fort Valley and Kelly Murphy (Scott, Sr.) of Reynolds; grandchildren, Smisson Rigdon, Brix Rigdon, Phillip Rigdon III, Haley Johnson, Scott Murphy, Jr. and Luke Murphy; mother, Caroline M. Lane of Perry; father, Duke Lane, Sr. (Rose) of Fort Valley; brothers, Duke Lane, Jr. of Fort Valley, Bobby Lane of Fort Valley, and Stevie Lane of Warner Robins; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088, or to "Together We Grow," First Baptist Church, 209 S. Miller St., Fort Valley, GA 31030. Please go to www.rooksfuneralhome.com to express online condolences. Rooks Funeral Home in Fort Valley is in charge of arrangements.
