Elise Jackson Obituary

Elise Gresham Jackson -ROUND OAK - Elise Gresham Jackson, 97, of Shoal Creek Road, died Thursday, August 25, 2011, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm, Sunday, August 28, 2011, at Sunshine United Methodist Church in Round Oak with interment at the church cemetery. Rev. Wesley Watkins will officiate. -Mrs. Jackson was born April 14, 1914, in Juliette and had lived in Round Oak most of her life. She was the daughter of the late William Clifford Gresham and Mary Elizabeth "Molly" Gresham. Mrs. Jackson was a member of New Hope Primitive Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband: Josh Jackson. -Mrs. Jackson is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Carol and Buddy Smith of Round Oak; Dell and Charlie Powell of Wayside and Janice and Dan Bloodworth of Gray; grandchildren: Chad Rodeheaver, Chuck Powell, Jason Farmer and Jennifer Lipsey; great-grandchildren: Tripp Powell, Mason Lipsey, Josh Rodeheaver, Jake Rodeheaver, Lane Lipsey, Lizzie Farmer, and Michaela Ward; and by her nephews, nieces and their spouses: Jack Tillman, Molden and Lou Tillman, Clifford and Mary Lois Jackson, LaVerne Adams, Cheryl Jackson, Lana Webb and Euphama Jackson. -Flowers will be accepted, however, those who wish may make contributions to Sunshine United Methodist Church or to the donor's favorite charity. -The family may be contacted at the residence at 161 Shoal Creek Road in Round Oak. -The family would like to extend a special thank you to Mrs. Jackson's caregivers: Tammie Powell, Jennifer Lipsey and Crystal Adams, who made every effort to make her comfortable during her last days. -Please visit the online memorial at: www.bridgesfh.com. -Bridges Funeral Home and Crematory in Gray has charge of arrangements.

Carol, Dell, and Janice. Cindy and I are so sorry for yalls loss. I wish we could be there for yall today but my diabetes has flared up and I can't travel. I hope to come down next week if I'm able and maybe I can see yall then. My prayers are with yall and I'll miss Aint Elise tremendously. Love Darryl and Cindy.
