Eva Virginia Jameson Bess
Warner Robins, GA- Eva Virginia Jameson Bess, 87 years young passed away Friday November 26, 2013 in the Peachbelt Health and Rehabilitation Center. Her body has been donated to Medical College of Georgia.
She was born December 14, 1925, in Huntington West Virginia; a daughter of Byrd Eugene Hazlett and Maude Bloss Miller. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Harold Lee Bess; three brothers, Thomas Hazlett, Martine Hazlett, Clyde Hazlett; and four sisters, Odsie Wiley and Kathryn Batten and Lovell Jameson.
Survivors include son, James Lewis Jameson (Karen); and daughter, Donna Mauro (Michael); seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Bess worked at St. Mary's Hospital as a Ward Clerk for 25 years in Huntington, WV. After moving to Warner Robins in 2000, she worked for Meals On Wheels of Houston County for six years. Mrs. Bess was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Warner Robins. Her passion was bowling.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
