Harold "Butch" Milton Arrington -GRAY - Harold "Butch" Milton Arrington, 63, passed away with his family by his side after a valiant battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held at 3P.M. Tuesday at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Mike Fuller and Rev. Sam Waldron will officiate. The family will greet friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Monday at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to United Hospice, 6060 Lakeside Commons, Macon, GA 31210 or Midway Baptist Church, P.O. Box 337, Lizella, GA 31052. The family may be contacted at the residence of Tonia and Zane Vance, 140 Red Fox Run, Macon, GA 31210. Serving as pallbearers are Stewart Barr, Scott Goff, Ken Gordon, Buster Bass, Jimbo Griffin, Tom Parkerson, T. J. Heath, and Mike Pittis. -Mr. Arrington was born in Bibb County and was the son of the late Harold M. Arrington and Louise Smith Arrington. He was preceded in death by his son, Mark Alan Arrington. Mr. Arrington was a graduate of Lanier High School and served in the United States Army. He was retired from Atlanta Gas Light Company and Arrington's Heating, Air and Refrigeration. Mr. Arrington touched the lives of many people in his journey on earth. He never met a stranger. He was loved by people that met him, respected by people who did business with him. His honesty and integrity were admired by his many loyal customers. He will be greatly missed by everyone who had the honor and privilege to have known him. He never wavered in his faith. He fought a good fight and finished the course. His greatest joys were spending time with his two grandsons. -Mr. Arrington leaves behind to cherish and hold dear his memories wife, Glenda C. Arrington; his loving daughter, Tonia Arrington (Zane) Vance; daughter Tamara Denise Arrington; grandchildren, Dalton Newman and William Harold "Will" Vance; his loving sister, Gail (James F. "Jim") Thomas; his loving niece, Cindy (Dr. William "Billy") Jarrard; his loving great-niece and nephew, Mary Priestly Jarrard and Howell Jarrard; his sister-in-law, Myrtle Grimsley; his brothers-in-law, Joe Collins, Gray, GA and Robert (Bernice) Collins, Lizella, GA. -The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the nursing staff at Georgia Cancer Specialists and United Hospice for their extraordinary care and compassion. We would also like to thank his doctors Dr. Douglas Brewer, Dr. Cheryl Jones, Dr. Lancing Patterson and Dr. Linda Arnold for their longtime care and support.
