Mr. James Cecil Booth age 75 passed away Saturday, Nov. 30,2013.
A celebration of the Life of Cecil Booth will be held Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013 in the Oak Grove Methodist Church with Rev. Roy Kittle and Rev. Len Woodard officiating. Interment will follow in the Church cemetery.
Mr. Booth was a native of Bibb county and had made his home in Gordon for most of his life. The son of the late Andrew Lewis Booth and Annie Laura Brown Booth, he was a veteran of the United State Air Force, retired from Englehard and was a faithful member of the Oak Grove Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends at Williams White Columns Funeral Home Monday, Dec. 2 from 6 until 8 pm.
Survivors include his wife Lonita Hyde Booth, daughters Dawn Booth Higginbotham (Mark) of Gray, Laura Booth Dudley (Dana) of Ivey, Cecilia Booth Chaffin (Richie) of Macon and Ginger Booth of Centerville; Grandchildren Amanda Wood (John) of Haddock, Jennifer Smallwood (Frank) of Gordon, Stephanie Holton (Curtis) of Toomsboro, Steven Dudley (Michelle) of Ivey, Jesse Chaffin of Macon, Ashley Paez (Jorge) of Athens, Mark Higginbotham of Gray, Jake Chaffin and Brooke Chaffin of Macon and Camryn Moghaddam of Centerville; 8 great grandchildren a number of nieces , nephews, cousins and other relatives also survive.
