Centerville, Georgia- Mr. James E. (Jim) Pearsall, 82, while surrounded by his loving family passed away on Saturday, February 8th, 2014 at the Church Home Rehabilitation & Healthcare in Fort Valley, Georgia. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 10th, 2014 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 11th, 2014 at 11:00 AM in St. Francis Episcopal Church, Macon, GA. Jim was born to the late Mr. Frederick Daniel and Elsie Mae (Mead) Pearsall in Jamaica, Queens, New York and growing up in Blue Point, New York. Jim was of the Episcopal faith, a retired Technical Writer for Grumman Corporation for twenty years. Jim was a veteran of the United States Army. Jim was a very special individual he was a volunteer fireman for Blue Point Fire Department, Boy Scout Assistant Cub master, volunteer during the flood of 1994 in Montezuma, GA, former president of Warner Robins Little Theater, founder of Centerville Friends of the Library, frequent contributor to the Macon Telegraph letters to the editor, Member of St. Francis Episcopal Church, former Chair Houston County Democratic Committee and Adult Literacy volunteer. Jim is survived by his wife Betty C. Pearsall of twenty years, children; Kathleen M.(Gary) Martin, James E. (Laura) Pearsall, Douglas A. Pearsall, Patricia A. Pearsall, LeAnne C. (Brad) Moore, David C. Cliett, siblings; Clyde (Katherine) Pearsall, Virginia Sheehan (John Beener). Grandchildren; Joshua D. Martorelli (Carolyn Corwin), Vanessa Martorelli, Madeleine M. Moore, Zoe E. Moore; great grandchildren; Rosa D. Santos,Kayleigh M. Santos, Zachary A. Corwin and Justin T. Corwin. Flowers will be accepted, however, donations can be made to St. Francis Episcopal Church, 432 Forest Hill Road, Macon, GA.
