Perry, GA- SMSgt. James Leonard "Jimmy" Swartz, 51, entered into rest on Sunday, October 5, 2014.
Jimmy was born on April 15, 1963 in Tarentum, Pennsylvania. He was a propulsion flight superintendent in the 116th Air Control Wing of the Georgia Air National Guard. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church where he was active in the men's group. He was an active member of the Middle Georgia ACTS Community. Jimmy was a devoted, happy, fun-loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend.
His mother, Geraldine Lewandoski Swartz; and brother, Jerry Swartz, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving and devoted wife of twenty-five years, Renee Wyatt Swartz of Perry; daughters, Chelsey and Jessica Swartz, both of Perry; grandchildren, Kensley and Tatem McDowell of Perry; father, Jackie L. Swartz of Brackenridge, Pennsylvania; sister, Mary Ann Yurchick of Daytona Beach, Florida; brothers, Jackie L. Swartz of Waikapu, Hawaii, Charles Swartz of Tarentum, Pennsylvania, Richard Swartz of Elijay, Timothy Swartz of Tarentum, Pennsylvania, and Thomas Swartz of Norcross; several nieces and nephews; and many brothers and sisters in Christ from his ACTS Community Group.
A Prayer Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 16, 2014 with visitation following until 8:00 p.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Perry. A Funeral Mass will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, October 17, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Warner Robins.

God allowed us to have a Great man for 51 years and will be Greatly missed. Jimmy was a great friend and a joy to work with. I look forward to seeing him again. He always had nick names and I always knew when he was talking to me. Prayers for the family during this time.
