Byron, GA- "Smiley" Jerry Peters, 58, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2013. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 in the chapel of Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono, at 3:00 PM with burial in Macon Memorial Park. Bishop Tim Kelly will officiate. The family will meet friends on Tuesday from 6-8 PM and on Wednesday from 2-3 PM at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue.
Jerry was born on March 29, 1955 to the late Herbert Peters and Geraldine Davis Peters. He was a welder and worked at Cherokee Brick & Tile Company. He loved his family and riding motorcycles. His Harley family meant a lot to him as well. He was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Alicia Jump Peters of Byron; one daughter, Jennifer (Laura) Bassett of Juliette; one son, Seth Peters of Byron; four grandchildren, Morgan, McKenzie, Macy, and Madison, all of Juliette; his mother, Geraldine Soles of Macon; one sister, Debby Peters of Macon; two brothers, Ronnie (Jean) Peters of Byron, and Dale (Marie) Peters of Macon, and several nieces and nephews.
