Macon, GA- Jóla Long McMillan, 83, of N. Ohara Drive, died Saturday, August 31, 2013, in a local hospital facility. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00am, prior to an 11:00am memorial service on Tuesday, September 03, 2013, at Liberty United Methodist Church in Macon, with Rev. Wayne Anthony officiating.
Mrs. McMillan, the daughter of the late John Long and Leah McBryant Long, was born in Macon on January 21, 1930, and was a lifelong resident. She devoted her life to making a home for her family and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McMillan was preceded in death by two husbands: Claude Allen and Taylor Monroe McMillan; and by her son: Mardi Ralph Allen.
Mrs. McMillan is survived by her daughters and son-in-law: JoAnn and George Thames, Carolyn Smith, Claudia Odom and Cheryl Conger; and by seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon, Georgia 31210.
