Cochran, GA- Irene Johnson, age 74, died Thursday at her residence. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3:00 P.M. at Southside Baptist Church. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson was a life long resident of Bleckley County. She was the daughter of the late Ben and Sadie Roland Knighton. She was a homemaker and member of Southside Baptist Church and the Esther Sunday School Class.
Survivors are her husband, Jack Johnson of Cochran; her daughters, Lesa (Blake) Bergh and Lynne (Bob) Raley of Cochran, Cindy (Tim) Powell of Warthen; grandchildren, Ansley and Caley Cranford, Amber Raley (Kyle) Collins, Cole Raley, Elizabeth and Henley Powell; sisters, Bessie (Shorty) Little and Opal Mullis of Cochran, Claudia (Kenneth) Ellington of Montrose; brothers, Elton (Faye) Knighton and Ray (JoAnn) Knighton of Cochran; several nieces and nephews.
