Macon, GA- William Earl Scott, 84, of Macon, died Saturday surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Hardy Scarborough and Rev. Stephen Scarborough will officiate. The family will meet friends from 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Scott was born in Macon to the late William Andrew Scott and the late Annie Raines Scott. He had lived in Macon all his life and was a member of Living Waters Fellowship Church having been a longtime member of Midway Baptist Church. He was retired from Robins Air Force Base and was the former operator of Charlie Brown Dairy Farm. Mr. Scott was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the U. S. Army, 1st Cavalry Division.
Mr. Scott is survived by his wife; Helen Brown Scott of Macon, his daughter and son in law, Beth Scott Harbin and Keith Harbin of Flowery Branch, Georgia, a son and daughter in law, Brown Scott and Stephanie Scott of Macon, 4 grandchildren, Ben and Kristen Harrison and Gabrielle Scott and Hannah Tedders, a sister, Geraldine Pike and her husband; Lawrence Pike of Greensboro, North Carolina.
