Cochran, GA- Funeral services for Mrs. Lucy Nobles, 89, of Cochran, who died Tuesday, February 18, 2014, will be held Friday, 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. Burial will be at Brown Cemetery in Dodge County.
Mrs. Nobles was born in Dodge County, daughter of the late William W. and Lillie Swann White and the widow of Emory E. Nobles. She lived in Bleckley County most of her life. She was retired from L&H Shirt Company, a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and former member of Crossroad Freewill Baptist Church, and was a homemaker. She was a devoted Braves and John Smoltz fan.
Survivors include: daughter, Emily (James) Foskey of Cochran; sons, Wesley (Heidi Jo) Nobles of Macon, Buddy (Norma) Nobles of Cochran; sister, Dollie Jones of Gray; grandchildren, Tammy (Matt) Butterworth of Macon, John Michael Foskey and Joel Foskey both of Cochran, Allison Parks of Centerville also 8 great-great grandchildren.
The family will meet friends after the service at the church.
