Grace Coarsey McKenney
Macon, GA- Grace Coarsey McKenney, 88, died on Tuesday, March 18, 2014.
Grace was born in Tift County to the late, Nora Lee Coarsey and Nathaniel Lafayette Coarsey. After moving to Macon, she taught seventh grade at Alexander IV, and was a member of Mulberry United Methodist Church. Grace enjoyed volunteering for Christ Episcopal Church's Meals on Wheels and playing bridge. Her husband, Neal D. McKenney and daughter, Cornelia McKenney, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughters: Jane (Greg) Jordan of Macon; Cindy McKenney of Macon; Carol (Hugh) Farmer of Newnan; grandchildren: McGregor Jordan, Chelsea Jordan, Hugh Farmer IV, Cornelia Farmer and Neal Farmer.
Graveside service will be private. The family will greet friends at the residence of Jane and Greg Jordan on Thursday, March 20, 2014, from 5:00 to 7:00PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to: Macon Outreach, P.O. Box 149, Macon, Georgia 31202; Macon Volunteer Clinic, 367 Rogers Ave. Macon, Georgia 31204, or Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon, Georgia 31210.
