Louis J. Copeland
Perry, GA- Louis James Copeland, 54, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 21, 2014. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, March 24, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Central Baptist Church in Warner Robins with Pastor Owen Bozeman officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery immediately following the service. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 23, 2014, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. Flowers will be graciously accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Central Baptist Church, Building Fund or Missions Fund, 1120 Lake Joy Road, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
Louis was born and grew up in Tampa, Florida. He moved to Houston County at the age of 18 and spent the remainder of his life here. He was an Eagle Scout. Louis worked in Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base for 19 years. He earned his degree as a Registered Nurse and then worked at Houston Medical Center. A long-time member of Central Baptist Church in Warner Robins, he was a member of Chuck Chalk's Sunday School Class. He traveled with friends and other members of his church on various mission trips to Honduras, Nicaragua, and Guatemala through the years. He was preceded in death by his father, L. J. "Jim" Copeland.
Left to cherish the memories of Louis are his loving wife of nearly 32 years, Paula Underwood Copeland of Perry; his daughter, Rachel Copeland of Perry; his mother, Betty Copeland of Perry; his brother, Alan Copeland (Sheryl) of Ft. Valley; a nephew; and two nieces.
