Jones County, Georgia- Benjamin Franklin Malone, Jr., 81, passed away Friday, April 25, 2014, after his good morning kiss from his loving wife of fifty-five years. The family will greet friends from 5:00 - 7:00pm, Saturday at Bridges Funeral Home in Gray. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, April 27, 2014, at Plentitude Baptist Church with interment at the church cemetery. Rev. Tommy Freeman and Elder William Torrance will officiate.
Mr. Malone was born September 17, 1932, in Wayside and had lived in Jones County his entire life. He was the son of the late Benjamin Franklin Malone, Sr. and Lillian Culpepper Malone. Mr. Malone honorably served his country with the United States Army and was a member of Plentitude Baptist Church. He was retired as owner of Tribble Heating and Air Conditioning and was an avid fisherman. Mr. Malone also loved to read and enjoyed John Wayne movies. He was a loving husband, father and papa. Mr. Malone was preceded in death by a son: Dennis Malone.
Mr. Malone is survived by his wife: Georgieanna Malone; children and spouses: Bennie and Karen Malone, Gloria Anne and Steve Sexton and Greg Malone; grandchildren and spouses: Stephanie and Steve Warr, Benjamin and Ashley Sexton, Nicole Malone and Taylor Malone
great-grandchildren: William Story and Brannon Vickory; brother and sister-in-law: Marvin and Clara Malone; sisters and brother-in-law: Jane Gordon, Peggy Fowler and Edna and Randy Murphy; many many loving nieces and nephews; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Harold and Jackie Anders and sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Kathleen and Tom Rogers.
