Frank Cummings
Fort Valley, GA- Frank Cummings, 87, died Friday, May 2, 2014. Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, May 6, 2014, in Oaklawn Cemetery, 720 S. Camellia Blvd. in Fort Valley, with Rev. Mac Goddard officiating. Family will greet friends from 6:00PM to 7:00PM on Monday, May 5, 2014, at Rooks Funeral Home, 213 West Church Street in Fort Valley.
Mr. Cummings was one of nine children born to the late Jasper and Teressa Parker Cummings. He served in the Army Air Force during World War II, retired from Blue Bird Body Company and was a Baptist. He is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Lorenea Binion Cummings and a son, Henry Wainwright.
Survivors include his children, Becky Derry of Palm Harbor, Florida, Edwin Cummings (Jean) of Dublin, Mary Ann Peterman (Millard) of Fort Valley, Jo Hickson (Ed) of Fletcher, North Carolina, Lonnie Wainwright of Roberta, and Clarence Wainwright of Butler; fourteen grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff of Country Gardens Assisted Living for the love and care shown to their parents, Frank and Lorena.
