Frank R. Russo, Jr.
Clearwater, FL- Frank R.Russo Jr. 59 passed away Friday, May 2, 2014. His graveside service will be celebrated at Rose Hill Cemetery on Wednesday, May 28 at 3 PM. A celebration of his life will follow the service at Greek Corner Pizza, 3267 Vineville Avenue. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation (foundation.flcancer.com) in memory of Frank. Frank was born in Macon and was preceded in death by his loving parents Frank Russo Sr. and Marcia Deep Russo, and his daughter Jennifer Wisekal. He graduated from Mount de Sales and received his BA in Journalism from UGA. He began his career as a reporter and photographer for the Perry newspaper before opening his own photography studio. Frank retired after 25 years of service with the Georgia Farm Bureau as the Agency Manager for Marion County. Frank was an officer of the Buena Vista Chamber of Commerce and a representative of the Chamber for the Valley Partnership. Upon retiring, he and his wife, Christine, sailed a 6 month transcontinental working vacation cooking for the Tall Ship Bounty. They sailed and cooked for over 30 crew and passengers to Bermuda, New York, Nova Scotia, Ireland, Scotland, the Azores, Puerto Rico and back into West Palm Beach.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 31 years, Christine and son, Carmine of Clearwater, Fl., his sister Susan Russo Davis (Bill) of Macon, his aunt, Phyllis Russo of Massachusetts, plus many nephews and extended family. May he rest in heaven until we all meet again.
