March 25, 1929 - June 10, 2014
Warner Robins, GA- Gerald W. Ellis, age 85, died Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at the Medical Center of Central GA in Macon. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 12, 2014 from 7:00PM to 9:00PM at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home on Friday, June 13, 2014, at 1:00PM with Robert Morris, minister of Perry Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow at Parkway Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Ellis was born on March 25, 1929. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and a son, Tom Ellis. Gerald was an Army veteran and proudly served his country in the Korean Conflict. He completed his education at David Lipscomb College with a degree in accounting. He retired as a civil service supervisor at Robins Air Force Base. He was a dedicated Christian and member of Perry Church of Christ.
Mr. Ellis is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Jean Ellis; sister, Suellen Donaldson, and sister-in-law, Helen Ellis both of Enterprise, AL; son, Daniel Ellis of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; daughters, Karen (Steve) Bedard of Cochran, GA, Lisa (Fred) Fletcher of Warner Robins, GA; grandchildren, Margaret Bedard, Elizabeth Ellis, and Aaron Ellis; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
