Jasper Leroy "Roy" Morris
April 5, 1957 - July 3, 2014
Macon, GA- Roy Morris, age 57, passed away suddenly in his home on July 4, 2014.
Roy was born in Macon to the late Jasper Hamilton Morris and Florence Nobles Morris. He was a counterman at several auto parts distributors as well as a US Army Veteran. Roy lived life to the fullest. He loved his family and was known for pulling pranks. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and a devoted friend to many. Roy was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and enjoyed working in the yard although he was extremely scared of snakes. Even the fake rubber ones.
Roy is survived by his wife of 29 years, Kimberly G. Morris of Macon; 3 children; Candi L. Miller, Ashley L. Smallwood (Jimmy), both of Gray and Wanda and Jessie Ray Turnage of Macon; 3 grandsons, 2 granddaughters,. a brother, Allen Morris (Georgia) of Macon and a sister, Joyce Smith (Jody) of Warner Robins, his Mother and Father-in-law, Wanda and Terry Grimsley of Macon and his Grandmother, Ginger Grimsley also of Macon.
A service to celebrate Roy's life will be held in the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at 3:00 pm.
