Daniel Warren Scarborough, Jr.
Macon, GA- Daniel Warren Scarborough, Jr., died Thursday, August 21, 2014. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, August 24, 2014 at 3:00PM at Macon Memorial Park. The family will greet friends at the graveside following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Children's Health Care of Atlanta at Scottish Rite, 1001 Johnson Ferry Road, Atlanta, Georgia 30342. Dan was born November 4, 1926 in Bibb County. He attended Cross Keys Elementary School and graduated from Lanier High School for Boys. He served in the United States Army during World War II. After working several years as a general contractor, Dan took a position with the Bibb County Board of Education. After thirty years, he retired in 1988. Dan was a member of Swift Creek United Methodist Church. He was an avid pilot and golfer. Dan was predeceased by his wife, Grace Thomas Scarborough; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Scarborough, Sr. and his brother, Frank Scarborough. Dan is survived by a niece, Kim McCook (Tony); a nephew, Eric Scarborough (Jennifer); and a sister-in-law, Carolyn Scarborough. Register online at www.hartsmort.com.
