Macon, GA- Benjie Baggarly, 73, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, September 5, 2014 at Hart's at the Cupola with the Reverend Joe Ferguson officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Family will greet friends between 5:00-7:00PM on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at the Cupola. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made for the benefit of his grandchildren, c/o Ron Woodford, Suntrust Bank, 606 Cherry Street, Macon GA 31201, checks made payable to Beverly Baggarly.
Mr. Baggarly graduated from Lanier High School in the ROTC program in 1959. He was a member of Macon Corvette Club. He was a longtime employee at Dunlap Chevrolet, Monroe GMC, and LJL Truck Center. He was an employee with Pioneer Machinery until he was injured in 1997.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Beverly Taylor Baggarly of Macon; two children, Brandon Baggarly of Macon and Bridgett Monroe (Jeff) of Gray; four grandchildren, Kayla, Haleigh, Taylor, and Tyler, all of Gray; brother, Al Baggarly (Jan) of Macon; brother, Raymond Baggarly (Susan) of Jonesboro; numerous nieces and nephews; and caregivers, Michele Hughes and Adam Coney.
