Perry, GA- Mrs. Leila Pettigrew Barker, 81, passed away on Tuesday, September 17th, 2013, at a local hospital. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 19th, 2013 from 6:00PM-8:00PM at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 20th, 2013 in Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 AM, Rev. Brad Blackmon will officiate. Leila was born June 23rd, 1932 to the late Mr. Tommy Milburn and Rebecca (Amos) Thompson in Hancock County, GA. Leila was a member of Second Memorial Baptist Church, Perry, GA. Leila was a retired civil service electronic technician at Robins Air Force Base. Leila was predeceased by her first husband John Pettigrew and second husband Milton "Doug" Barker. Survivors include: her children Gwen (David) Greenway of Bonaire, GA, Rhonda (Tony) Morris of Boynton Beach, FL, Donna (Danny) Hart of Warner Robins, GA, John (Carmen) Pettigrew of Sharpsburg, GA, Grandchildren, Lee Greenway, Jr., Tony Morris, Jr., Kristen (Alan) Jordan, Danielle (Matt) Hall, Wesley Hart, Carmen Denise Pettigrew, two great-grandchildren Macy and Miley Hall, one Step Daughter, two step grandchildren, two step great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the , Heart of Georgia Hospice or to one's favorite charity. Heritage Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
