Aubrey "Bud" Criswell
July 4, 1936 - October 16, 2013
Toomsboro, Georgia- Aubrey "Bud" Criswell age 77 passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2013. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 20, at Toomsboro Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Thigpen and Rev. Johnny Jackson. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Criswell was a native and life-long resident of Wilkinson County. He served in the United States Air Force. He worked for the American Coach Company for 18 years and was a self employed building contractor before working for the Department of Corrections as a Maintenance Supervisor. He was a member of the Toomsboro Baptist Church serving as a Deacon, Choir Director and Sunday School Superintendent. Being the youngest of sixteen children; he grew up with a deep love for music. Playing the guitar and singing was his way of fulfilling a passion instilled in him since childhood.
Survivors include his wife Betty Rose Dominy Criswell of Toomsboro, a son Scott Criswell (Rhonda) of Irwinton, two daughters, Renita Salter (Mark) of Eatonton and Angela Criswell, two brothers Ivey G. Criswell, Jr. of Tennille and Milton Criswell of McIntyre, a sister Audrey Akin of Milledgeville, 5 grandchildren: Holly Williams (Derek), Candace Bevins, Olivia Salter, Krystal Veal and Beth Criswell and 2 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Moores Funeral Home.
