DANVILLE, GA- Martha Dixon Helton, 100, passed away Saturday in Dublin.
Services will be held at 11:00AM, Wednesday January 15, 2014, in the Allentown United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Dublin Memorial Gardens. Rev. Billy Wicker and Rev. Jeff Alligood will officiate.
Mrs. Helton was born in Whigham (Grady County), GA, the daughter of the late Byron and Mary Dixon of Climax, GA. She was the widow of the late Forrest Helton, and was preceded in death by two Brothers, W. Hunter Dixon and Byron Alfred Dixon. "Miss" Martha was a member of the Allentown United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years, and was an active member UMW. She attended Georgia College in Milledgeville and was a retired School Teacher for 42 years, and was a member of the Retired Teachers Association.
Survivors include her Sister, Mary D. Craigmiles of Beaumont, TX, and Sister-in-Law, Zena P. Dixon of Thomasville, GA. Many Nieces and Nephews and Great Nieces and Nephews.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 Tuesday in the funeral home.
