Willie Lee

Willie E. "Nick" Lee, of Lafayette, was born on Wednesday, August 17, 1927, in Allen County, KY, one of three children born to the late Bert and Bessie (Roark) Lee. He departed this life on Monday morning, March 31, 2014 at the age of 86 years, 7 months and 14 days. Funeral services for Nick Lee were conducted on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at 11:00 A.M. from the chapel of Anderson & Son Funeral Home in Lafayette with Reverend Billy "Pete" Freeman, Jr. officiating. Interment followed in the Anderson & Son Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearer was Dickie Lonas.

Active pallbearers were Hunter Dickens, Troy Dickens, Chris Lewis, Adam Lee, Nick Wheeler and George Thomas Roberts. On December 13, 1952, Nick was married to the former Miss Auline Roberts, who survives. Nick was a farmer and farm equipment dealer, and was a member of the Red Hill Missionary Baptist Church. He was a Korean War Veteran, serving in the United States Army. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Catherine Lonas and Piccola Dixon. In addition to Auline, his wife of 61 years, Nick is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Barry Hawkins of Lafayette, and Penny and Rev.

Billy "Pete" Freeman, Jr. of Westmoreland; son and daughter-in-law, Nicky and Kathy Lee of Scottsville; Grandchildren and their spouses, Janet and Troy Dickens of Lafayette, Summer and Chris Lewis, Jill Freeman, all of Westmoreland, Allison and Nick Wheeler, Adam and Mindy Lee, all of Scottsville, KY; Great-grandchildren, Hunter and Hallie Dickens of Lafayette, Jadyn and Keaton Lewis of Westmoreland, Marcus and Jordan Lee of Scottsville, KY.
