Mr. Billy Rudolph Barnfield was born on July 4, 1929 in Macon County, Tennessee to the late Luster O. and Viola Ellis Barnfield. He was one of eight siblings born to this union. Besides his parents; brothers, Cordell Barnfield, J.B. Barnfield, R.V. Barnfield, and Donald Barnfield, sisters, Opal Dickens, Lorell Gann, and Laura Ballou, several brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law also preceded him in death.

Billy was in the Air Force during the Korean War, he served six years in active duty. He remained in the Air Guard for twenty seven more years. He retired from the Air Force and moved back to Lafayette to devote time to Lafayette Real Estate and Auction Company. He and Billy Roark worked hard and enjoyed every minute of the business until he proudly passed the business to a fine young man, Ben Bray.

Billy has three children, Billy Jr., Joan, and Jane by a previous marriage. He later married Norma Barnfield in 1974, sharing thirty-nine years together.

His favorite pass times were being a champion marble player and riding on many wagon rides with his friends.

Billy's biggest love was his family farm. He always was excited to have his family and friends come to visit and always planned his annual 4th of July party and welcomed everyone.

He was always active in the community and a member of the Hillsdale Masonic Lodge

Billy never missed an opportunity to have a laugh or visit with his friends.
