Charles David Caplinger(Feb. 26, 1941 - April 25, 2013)

Charles David Caplinger, 72, of South Solon, died Thursday, April 25, 2013, in Eaglewood Care Center, Springfield.
Born Feb. 26, 1941, in Springfield, he was a son of Lawrence and Martha (Palmer) Caplinger.
Charles had been employed as a truck driver with Kenosha Transport, Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Survivors include his wife Janice (Aylward) Caplinger; son, David (Susana) Caplinger of Mason; daughter, Carin (Douglas) Iten of Belleair, Florida; stepdaughter, Michelle Simmons of Englewood; granddaughters, Lauren Simmons, Brittany Simmons and Erica Alva; grandsons, Davis Iten, Marc Iten and Andy Alva; brother, Ronald (Susan) Caplinger of Braselton, Georgia; and a niece.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Linda Combs.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 3, 2013, in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main St., London. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until time of services on Friday.
If they wish, friends may make memorial contributions to either the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
