Delmar O. Augustus(Oct. 15, 2013)

Delmar O. Augustus, 88, of South Charleston, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013 at Forest Glen Health Campus.
Delmar was born to the late Frank and Viola (Ober) Augustus in South Charleston.
He attended South Charleston High School, graduating in 1943.
He later married Luora "Lou" Lannon in 1960.
He held positions as a Seed Deliverer at the local Landmark, delivered mail as a Postal Worker, but the majority of his life he was a hard working farmer. He volunteered on the Election Board for 18 years, served on the Board of Supervisors for the Clark Soil and Water Conservation District, served on the A. S. C. Board, and was the President of the Clark County Farm Bureau. Growing up, he attended South Charleston Methodist Church, then later joined Cornerstone Baptist Church, of which he was a member for 30 years. He was also a Free Mason of Fielding Lodge 192.
Delmar is survived by his loving wife, Luora; three children, Rowland (Linda) Augustus of Beavercreek, April Sue (David) Kammeyer of Shamong, N.J., and Frank (Penny) Augustus of South Charleston; six grandchildren, Elizabeth (Joseph) Augustine, Rebekah (John) Hill, Danielle Augustus, Amanda Augustus, Luke Augustus, and Kari Kammeyer; eight great-grandchildren, Caleb, Olivia, Esther, Annie, and James Augustine, as well as Natalie, Chloe, and Simon Hill.
Along with his parents, Delmar is preceded in death by his sister, Bernetta O. Sheets.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17, at INGLING WILLIAMS & LEWIS FUNERAL HOME, 24 N. Chillicothe St., South Charleston. Funeral services will be held at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 2643 N. Limestone St., Springfield, OH 45503, at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 18, 2013 with Pastor Sam Bryant officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Baptist Church in Delmar's honor.
