Harold B. Walker Sr., 84, of West Jefferson, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013 in Mount Carmel West Medical Center, Columbus.
He was born July 17, 1929 in Braxton County, West Virginia, the son of the late Homer L. and Goldie M. Walker.
Harold retired from McDonnell Douglas Corp. as a Tool and Die Machinist.
He was a U.S. Air Force
Veteran of the Korean Conflict
He was a member of the Luther B. Turner Lodge No. 732 F&AM, the West Jefferson American Legion Post No. 201 and VFW
Post No. 7005.
He is survived by daughter, Theresa (Pat) Comer of West Jefferson; son, Harold (Julie) Walker of West Jefferson; four grandchildren, Amber (Noah) Larson, Adrienne (fiancé Jesse Fields) Comer, Eric (Jessica) Walker and Daniel Walker; nine great-grandchildren, Quentin Ater, Ava Ater, Gracin Fields, Maddox and Caedence Walker, Kendra, Kayla, Kloe and Kameron Larson; two sisters, Marie McVay and Ruth Ann (Ronzal) Ross; four brothers, Lyle (Shirley) Walker, Charles (Donna) Walker, Larry (Mary) Walker, Bob (Phyllis) Walker; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Martha Jean Walker in 1999; and six brothers.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, in the RADER-McDONALD FUNERAL HOME, 1355 W. Main St., West Jefferson, where Masonic Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013. Deacon Ralph Parsons Jr. and Fr. Mark Ghiloni will be officiating. Burial and Military Graveside Service will follow in Sunset Cemetery, Galloway. Military Honors by West Jefferson American Legion and VFW.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or charity of choice.
