Robert "Bob" Wilson Obituary
LONDON - Robert "Bob" Wilson, 84, of London, died Monday, July 14, 2014 at Mount Carmel Medical Center, Columbus.
Born May 21, 1930 in Columbus, he was a son of Douglas and Eva (Lyons) Wilson.
A U.S. Army veteran of Korea, Bob had also worked as a mail carrier for 32 years for the U.S. Post Office. Bob was a volunteer fireman for Central Townships for many years, was a proud member of the NRA, was a Ducks Unlimited Supporter and belonged to the Ohio Bowhunters Association, the American Bowhunters Committee and the Madison County Historical Society.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Willard T. and Susan Wilson of London; brother and sisters-in-law, M. David and Karolyn Wilson of Arizona and Donna Wilson of London; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan (Kingery) Wilson; son, Michael Dale Wilson; and recently by his brother, Gene Wilson.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2014 in the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Rodgers officiating. Friends may call at the church from noon until time of services.
The family is being served by the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main St., London.
