Bishop Lutrell Marcus Yutzy, 56, went home to be with the Lord in Plain City, Ohio on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012.
He was taken from this world in a car accident traveling home from ministering to the elderly at a Hilliard nursing home.
Born in Kankakee, Illinois on Oct. 4, 1956, Lutrell spent most of his adult life in Plain City, Ohio and recently made his home in Marysville, Ohio.
His heart was for the community in which he lived. He was most at home behind the pulpit of his church, Crusade Bible Church of God in Plain City. He also enjoyed the time he spent as a Jonathan Alder bus driver.
He never met a stranger and loved everyone he came in contact with. He was always willing to help those in need.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Toni (Depp) Yutzy; father-in-law, Gene O. Depp; mother-in-law, Juliette Canaday Depp; brothers-on-law, Dale Depp, Edgar Depp; best friend, Paul Brown; grandparents, Ollie and Katie Christner; uncle, Paul Ed Christner.
He is survived by his parents, Paul and Martha (Christner) Yutzy of Plain City; wife, Michele (Perkins) Hall-Yutzy of Marysville; daughters, Aaron Nicole (John) Fife of Plain City, Bethany Elaine Yutzy of Plain City, Martha Luanne Yutzy of Hilliard, Juliette Dawn Yutzy of Plain City; siblings, Myron (Bobbie Sue) Yutzy of Plain City, Steve (Cindy) Yutzy of Plain City, Clare (Farag) El-Geroushi of Hilliard, Ken (Linda) Yutzy of Marysville, Olive (Bill) Fleming of Delaware, Judy Depp of Plain City, Sharon (Augustus) Orr of Vinegrove, Kentucky; grandchildren, Jessica and Brittany Fife; great-grandson, Tyler; stepchildren, John Joshua (Jennifer) Hall, Tina Hall, Tamara (Bob) Teal; step-grandchildren, Emma and Ethan Hall, Austin Ring, Sydney and McKenzie Teal; many nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, at Living Waters Church of God, 10910 state Route 42 North, Marysville, where the funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012. Burial will be at Forest Grove Cemetery. Pastor Jasper Marcum and Pastor Paul Yutzy will be officiating.
