MUSSELMAN
David "Rip" Alex Musselman, 71, of Orient, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012.
He was born Oct. 12, 1941, in Pickaway County.
Preceded in death by parents, Bennett and Esther Musselman; brothers, Charles, James, Jack, William, Richard and Jerry; sisters, Elizabeth, Jeanette, Josephine, Betty and Ruth Jean.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 50 years, Bertie (Looney) Musselman; son, David Scott (Paul Bateson) of Sugar Grove, Ohio; daughter, Teresa (Gregg) Mayberry of Ashville; grandsons, Ryan and Jarod Mast of Orient; brothers, Thomas (Florence), Ned (Betty), all of Orient; sister-in-law, Carol Musselman, of Orient; many nieces and nephews.
David graduated from Darby Township High School in 1959 where he was active in all sports.
He was a Master Mason of Mt. Sterling Masonic Lodge No. 269 F&AM for over 40 years.
He retired from American Electric Power in 2002 after 42 years of service.
He enjoyed watching sports, hunting, fishing and playing cards.
A Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 W. Main St., Mt. Sterling. Rev. Leland Brehm will be officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 3-7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 14. At 7 p.m. a Masonic service will be given in his honor.
