Eleanor Arbogast, 97, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2013.
Member of the First United Methodist Church of Mt. Sterling, UMW, Sterling Chapter No. 74 O.E.S. for 69 years, 20th Century Club, Bridge Card Clubs, Capital University Women's Club and Washington Court House Country Club where she received an elusive "hole in one."
Preceded in death by loving husband, John Arbogast; parents, Edward and Ida Mae Strobel; and son-in-law, Jack Mayo.
Survived by daughters, Wanda Mayo of Naples, Florida, Bonnie (Charles) Stump of Mt. Sterling, Ohio, and Teresa Flateby of Tampa, Florida; grandchildren, Bill (Carol) Stump of California, David (Rasheeda) Stump of Columbus, Ohio, Lisa (Paul) Weinbaum of New Mexico, and Eric Flateby of Florida; great-grandchildren, Olivia Weinbaum, Alexandra Stump, Will Stump, David Stump, and Charlie Stump; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of good friends.
Family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 W. Main St., Mt. Sterling, OH 43143, where an Eastern Star service will take place at 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 25, 2013, at the First United Methodist Church, 110 S. London St., Mt. Sterling, OH 43143. Pastor Mike Berne will be officiating. Interment will be at Pleasant Cemetery.
