Ethel Pruitt, 72, of London, died Monday, May 6, 2013, in Mount Carmel Medical Center.
Born Sept. 11, 1940, in Newport, she was a daughter of Harry and Mary (Earles) Johnson.
Ethel worked for Madison-Plains Schools for approximately 30 years.
She loved playing euchre with her friends Sandy Darlington, Molly Wilson and Beulah Swyers. She had attended the Newport Church of Christ in Christian Union and enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds, the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Tennessee Lady Vols.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Sam Stires and Lisa and David Wiseman of London; son and daughter-in-law Daryl and Amanda Pruitt of London; grandchildren, Shawn and Amanda Stires, Chad and Sandra Stires, Rachel Stires, Courtney Pruitt, Dustin Pruitt, Macy Pruitt, Lindsey Wiseman and Aly Wiseman; great-grandchildren, Whitney Stires, Wesley Stires, Jasmine Daniels, Aaliyah Pruitt and Bailee Pruitt; sister, Mary Lou Swartz of Washington Court House; several nieces and nephews and special friends Judy and Junior Venrick.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2013, in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main St., London. Reverend Sandi Cunningham will be officiating. Interment will follow in Paint Memorial Cemetery, London. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 9.
