Grace J. Farish, 92, of London, died unexpectedly at 7:55 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, in Madison County Hospital in London.
Born Oct. 24, 1920, in London, she was a daughter of Theodore and Frances (Ball) Howard.
Grace has been a very active member of the London Church of Christ in Christian Union in London all of her life. A former member of the Rebekah Lodge, she had also been a member of the London Garden Club and the former Worthwhile Club. Grace was very well known as the Welcome Wagon Hostess for 29 1/2 years.
Her survivors are a daughter, Marlene Hillyer of Plano, Texas; sons and daughter-in-law, Jack and Kathy Farish of Westerville, Jeff Farish of London, and Jerry Farish of Bedford, Texas; grandchildren, Brent (Happy) Hillyer, Rene' (Trent) Miller, Scott Farish, Erick (Amy) Farish, Nathan (Amber) Farish, Nicholas (Jessica) Farish, Tia (Adam) Sexton, Drew Farish, Andy (Lora) Moore, and Ben (Hanan) Moore; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Beatrice Blosser of London; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her husband, LeRoy S. Farish, preceded her in death on July 23, 2001. Also preceding her in death were her parents; and a grandson, Kelly Farish.
Graveside interment services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, in Kirkwood Cemetery, London. Rev. Lee Stanley will be officiating. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 11 a.m. Monday in the London Church of Christ in Christian Union in London. Rev. Lee Stanley will be officiating. A period of visitation and a meal will be provided following the Celebration services.
