Helen Margaret Roberts, 101, London, died Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, 12:05 p.m. at Sisters On Elm, London.
Mrs. Roberts was born Aug. 2, 1912 in Napoleon, Ohio, the daughter of Charles Victor and Inez Eugenia (Lose) Lensman.
She was a past member of the United States Trotting Association. She loved to play cards, having played for most of her lifetime. She was a well known baby-sitter, have baby-sat over 60 kids at one time or another, oftentimes filling the role of part-time teacher. She was an avid Browns and OSU fan.
Mrs. Roberts is survived by daughter, Sharon (Robert) Reynolds of London; sons, Jerry Lynn (Richelle Kay Kelly) Roberts of South Vienna, Larry W. (Jane) Roberts of London; grandchildren, Brent Aaron Roberts, Michelle Renee (Rob) Turvy, Jeffery Lee (Kristi) Reynolds, Seth Alan Roberts; great-grandchildren, Brittany Anne Turvy, Joey Turvy, Kristin Roberts, Seth Roberts, Karlee Reynolds, and Kortney Reynolds; great-great-grandson, Ayden Lee Roberts; sister-in-law, Beatrice Roberts; step-grandchildren, Melissa (Marty) Fellure, David Maple; step-great-grandchildren, Tyler Fellure, Katie Fellure, Kennedy Fellure, Noah Fellure and Daelin Maple; numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Isaac Loring "Sam" Roberts; three brothers and three sisters.
The family invites friends to call at the RADER-LYNCH & DODDS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 124 E. High St., London, from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, where funeral service will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013. Rev. Steve Rogers will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery, London.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests bringing a toy to the funeral home for a Child In Need or making a memorial donation to the Central Township Fire Department to help with their Christmas Toy Drive. Envelopes and collection boxes will be available at the funeral home.
