John D. Meadows, 62, of Chuckey, formerly of West Jefferson, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2013, at Mountain Home VA Medical Center.
His body will be cremated with a memorial service held at a later date in Tennessee. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C. at a later date.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Jackie Meadows; son, Steve Meadows; two sisters, Ann Henson, Mary Dodds; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Dale and Sue Meadows, Ernie and Debbie Meadows, Larry and Cathy Meadows; several nieces and nephews; uncle and aunt, Ted and Anita Travis; special Vietnam brothers, Wayne Brown, Shorty Menendez, Bobby Goins, and members of Charlie Company 1969-1970.
Preceded in death by his son, Johnathan Meadows; parents, Kemper and Irene Meadows; two brothers, Richard and Ron Meadows.
He was a Vietnam Veteran in the U.S. Army serving in the 25th infantry C/3/22.
