JOHN C. GAYNARD
LONDON — John C. Gaynard, 65, London, Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, 7:50 p.m. Sisters On Elm, London.
John was born June 6, 1948 in Columbus, the son of John A. and Ursula (Sullivan) Gaynard.
He was a lifetime member of Saint Patrick Church, London.
He graduated from Saint Patrick grade school, 1962 and London High School, 1966. Received his Bachelor of Art degree in Psychology from University of Dayton, 1970.
He served two years in the United States Army, the first year at Fort Knox and the second year in Korea with the 2nd division, 72nd Armored Regiment, Camp Kasey, Korea.
John became involved in ham radio operations in 1960. He had been a member of the London Country Club for many years and joined Kinsale Golf and Fitness Club in 2013.
Had been employed by Bank One, August 1974 through September 1998 in the IT department, was outsourced to IBM in 1998, working various project management assignments, retiring June 2011. He went back as a contractor with AMPIT to IBM from November 2011 through Aug. 23, 2013. He was a certified PMP with PMI.
John is survived by cousins, including Paul Sullivan of London.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends are invited to call at the Saint Patrick Parish Center, 61 S. Union St., London, from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, with a wake service to be held at 5 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at the Saint Patrick Church, at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16, 2013, with Father Mark Ghiloni Officiating. Interment service will follow at Saint Patrick Cemetery, London.
John's funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the RADER-LYNCH & DODDS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 124 E. High St., London.
