Larry E. "Jonesy" Jones, 65, of London, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013 at 7:28 p.m. at Country Glen in Washington Court House.
He was the son of the late Scott N. and Fern (Sanders) Jones.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Barbara (Miller) Jones.
Larry loved his wife and working on his "'57" Chevy. He was always working on his car until his health started failing.
For the past 36 years, Larry was also a plumber and welder in Madison County.
A U.S. Veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, Larry was a member of Madison Memorial Post No. 105, American Legion, DAV Chapter No. 19 and FOE, Aerie No. 950, London.
He also leaves a sister, Linda (Russ) Vandemark of Jonesboro, Georgia; their son and his family, Michael (Patty) Vandemark and Michael II, all of McDonough, Georgia; their daughters and their families, Michelle (James) Fileccia and Taylor of Hampton, Georgia and Melinda (Wayne) Pepper and Scott Ethridge of Dallas, Georgia; in-laws, Marcella (Delmar) Burkett of Wilmington, Ohio, Lawrence Miller of London, Carol Miller of Columbus, Marlene (Barry) Barrett of Middletown, Ohio; several nieces and nephews and many, many loving friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents; mother and father-in-law; several brothers-in-law; and one sister-in-law.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013 in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main St., London. Pastor Carolyn Peacock will be officiating. Interment will follow in Deercreek Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30.
