Margene Ellinger, 97, of London, passed away Monday morning, March 25, 2013, at the Madison House in London, Ohio.
She was born on May 24, 1915, in Baltimore, Ohio, to Scott and Dessa (Miller) Bigony.
She married Everett C. Ellinger on July 19, 1936.
Her parents; husband; sister, Lucille; brothers, Harold and Howard, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her two sons, E. Eugene (Barbara) Ellinger, of West Jefferson, Ohio and Richard W. (Linda) Ellinger of Tiffin, Ohio; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Margene was a homemaker and loving mother and wife. She lived most of her adult life in the West Jefferson area where she was a member of the West Jefferson United Methodist Church. A founding member of the West Jefferson Mother's Club, she was instrumental in bringing kindergarten classes to West Jefferson Schools.
She enjoyed gardening, needlecrafts, cooking and participating in many church activities. Margene will be remembered and missed by her many friends and family.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
