Nancy L. McClaskie, 75, of London, passed away Thursday morning, May 2, 2013, in her home.
She was born Jan. 1, 1938, in Blanchester, Ohio, a daughter of Lewis W. and Mae (Wilson) Fleming.
Nancy was a member of the American Legion Post No. 105, London Aerie No. 950 Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary, Amvets Post No. 19 and the Ladies of the Moose Chapter No. 2415, London.
She retired from Dial Corporation in London, where she worked for 30 years.
She loved country music, dancing, Bingo, cards and hanging out with good friends.
Nancy is survived by her daughter, Kimberly D. McClaskie of London; son, Michael E. Penwell (Diane) of London; grandsons, Ricky L. Penwell (Sheri) of South Vienna, Shane E. Penwell (Tabitha) of Toledo; granddaughter, Christy A. Penwell of Springfield; sister, Jane Palmer of London; additional grandchildren, Anna, Aaron, Brittany, Brandon and Nazeef; great-grandchildren, Cory, Paige, Tanner, Shane Jr., Alex, Dylan, Alexis, and Sarah; great-great-granddaughter, Sophia; and several nieces, nephews and many special friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles E. "Elzie" McClaskie; son, Ricky E. Penwell; brothers, Ed and Junior Fleming.
The family invites friends to call at the RADER-LYNCH & DODDS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 124 E. High St., London, from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, May 5, where a celebration of Nancy's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 6, 2013. Mr. Ed Banion will be officiating. Interment will follow in Kirkwood Cemetery.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at the American Legion Hall, 51 E. First St., London, following the committal service at the cemetery.
