Peyton Chrisman Garrison, 94, was born Oct. 1, 1918, in Paint Township, Madison County, Ohio, a son of Al and Louisa (Chrisman) Garrison.
He died on Friday, April 26, 2013, at the Madison House in London, Ohio where he happily resided the past six years.
He is survived by his son, Richard Peyton Garrison; daughter-in-law, Jane Miller Garrison; grandchildren, Jennifer Garrison Young and Gregory Clark Garrison; great-grandchildren, Ashleigh Young, Mary Peyton Young, Katie Young, Grace Garrison and Sydney Garrison.
Peyton was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Erleen Moyer Garrison; his brother, Richard Allen Garrison; and his sister, Aidine Garrison Wilson.
Peyton retired from the Ohio Bell Telephone company in 1978.
He was a 32nd degree Mason, achieving that status in 1944.
A pioneer resident of Choctaw Lake, Peyton served on many committees at the lake.
Friends may call at the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main St., London, from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, April 28. Services will be held there at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 29, 2013. Pastor Carolyn Peacock will be officiating. Burial services will be family only at the Somerford Township Cemetery.
