PLAIN CITY — Raymond Kauffman, 91, of Plain City, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Nov. 28, 1922 in Plain City.
Raymond was the youngest of 14 children born to his father.
Retired as the Pastor for the Haven Fellowship Church after 50 years of service.
Preceded in death by his parents: Mose M. and Mary (Farmwald) Kauffman; who were part of the original Amish settlement in Plain City; daughter, Judy; three sisters; one brother; eight half siblings; son-in-law, Ray Miller.
Survived by loving wife of 65 years, Emma (Miller) Kauffman; children, Miriam (David) Miller of Plain City, Ruth Miller of Plain City, Eldon Kauffman of Stevensville, Mont., Floyd (Linda) Kauffman of Stevensville, Mont., Steve (Linda) Kauffman of Stevensville, Mont., Rhoda (David) Helmuth of Plain City; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Elmer Kauffman of Plain City.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19 at the United Bethel Mennonite Church, 11342 Lafayette-Plain City Road, Plain City, where the funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, with Pastor Lonnie Beachy officiating and burial at Haven Fellowship Cemetery.
