Rev. Robert L. Barker, 86, of Mt. Sterling, died Sunday, July 7, 2013 in Doctors West Hospital in Columbus.
He was born Jan. 10, 1927 in Sedalia, Ohio, the son of the late Clofas and Velma (Reichelderfer) Barker.
Graduate of Sedalia High School and Medway Bible Seminary in Columbus; Minister for numerous years of the Apostolic Christian Church on Mt. Olive Road of Washington Court House, Ohio; meat cutter for both Kroger in Columbus and Jewett's IGA in Mt. Sterling.
Preceded in death by wife, Hermine; son, Tom; brothers, Floyd and Ivan Dale Barker.
He is survived by son, Jeffrey Barker; grandson, Harrison Barker; nieces and nephews which include Tim, Thom, Judy, Becky, Kathy, Peggy, Patty, and Pam; sister-in-law, Barbara Barker.
A graveside Memorial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Pleasant Cemetery, (Era) Mt. Sterling. Special remembrances will be given by son Jeff. The Circleville Amvets Post No. 2256 will perform a military service for the World War II Army veteran. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
