Sandra L. "Sandy" Petzinger Beidelman, 70, of East Liberty, formerly of Bexley and Plain City, died Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at The Gables at Green Pastures in Marysville.
A devoted wife, dedicated mother and fun-loving grandma, she maintained an active lifestyle in recent years, despite her fight with Alzheimer 's disease.
A longtime waitress in the Columbus area, she was a former associate of Meijer on Rome-Hilliard Road where she retired in 2004.
She enjoyed Bingo, fishing and gardening. She especially loved bike riding and walks in the park with her husband.
A 1960 graduate of Bexley High School.
She formerly attended Christ Lutheran Church in Bexley.
She was born Oct. 9, 1942, in Columbus, to the late Allen A. and Bertha Veit Petzinger and was also predeceased by a sister, Paula Zander.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Ronald D. Beidelman Sr., whom she married March 24, 1962, in Monroe, Michigan; three sons, Ronald (Sheila) Beidelman Jr. of Canal Winchester, Allen (Tammy) Beidelman of Grove City and Gary (Maria José) Beidelman of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; her daughter, Angela (Joey) Holloway of Zanesfield; nine grandchildren, Ryann, Joey, Eva, Mary Kaitlyn, Brianna, Madison, Zachary, Leigha and Kaleigh; a great-grandson, Cooper; a sister, Janice Smith of Florida; a brother, Allen Petzinger of Bexley; a brother-in-law, Larry (Sally) Beidelman of Powell; and nieces and nephews, Rodney, David, Kelly, Jason B., Kacy, Joseph, John, Brad and Jason S.
Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at UNDERWOOD FUNERAL HOME, 703 E. Fifth St., Marysville. The family will hold a private interment at a later date.
