Susan Elizabeth Skiver, 94, of Washington Court House, Ohio, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at 9:52 p.m. at the Country Glenn Nursing and Therapy Center where she had been residing the past five years.
Mrs. Skiver was born Nov. 23, 1918, at LaRue in Marion County, Ohio, to Jerry and Wynonna Brown Amrine.
She lived most of her life in Mt. Sterling before moving to Washington Court House in 1988.
She formerly was an aide at the Orient State Institute and then worked at Thompson Industries in Mt. Sterling.
Mrs. Skiver was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul Davis in 1967 and Charles "Jake" Skiver in 1987.
She is survived by three children, Joy Honaker and her husband, Ron, of Washington Court House, Paul Davis and his wife, SueEllen, of Grove City and Betty Waters of Wauchula, Florida; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a half brother, Kenneth Amrine and his wife, Joann, of Urbana.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at Pleasant Cemetery near Mt. Sterling. The Rev. Joe Current, pastor at the First Baptist Church, will be officiating. Friends may call at the KIRKPATRICK FUNERAL HOME, 554 Washington Ave., in Washington Court House from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 10.
