Walter Thomas Dyer, 86, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2013.
Walter was born in southern Ohio to Austin and Bertha Dyer on March 11, 1927.
Walter retired from Anheuser Busch, farmer, an avid outdoorsman, gardener, storyteller, decorated Army Veteran and someone who was a very generous person.
Walter always looked out for the little ones, children always came first.
Family members who preceded Walter in death were his wife Bonnie on March 18, 2007; also his parents; and siblings, Herbert, Virginia, and Clayton.
Survived by children, Patty and Steve Anthony, Pam and John Huffman, Tom and Donna Dyer, Tim and Deb Dyer; grandchildren, Julie and Matt Baum, Doug and Alicia Anthony, Susan and Shane Baker, Cody and Karla Anthony, Bobbie Sue and Christopher Jacobs, Dusty Mae and Scott Shoemaker, Leigh Allison Dyer, Genevieve and Kacey Osborne; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Vivian and Warren Hawk; sister-in-law, Pauline Dyer; brother-in-law, Dick and Jennie Frasher; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive family and friends at PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 331 W. Main St., Mt. Sterling, Ohio, from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2013. Private graveside services will take place at Bethel Cemetery.
